Real Kids Shades

So I was given the opportunity to review and help host a giveaway for Real Kids Shades. I must say when I first started reading the information on them I thought “oh these look just like the ones you can get for $5 at Target, why would I spend $15 on glasses for my daughter when she will just eat or destroy them.” But I figured it couldn’t hurt to try them out and see how well they worked and if Arianna would leave them on her head. I picked out a pair of purple floral design kids shades and hoped for the best.
Real Kids Shades Delivery
I was expecting the delivery to take at least a week, if not two. I was happily surprised when I received my box a little less then a week later. (they didn’t have the design I wanted but allowed me to try two others instead) Arianna of course had to climb inside the box and play in the peanuts as mommy unpacked the sunglasses and looked them over. (the box was tiny, about 6 inches by 4 inches.. and she still tried to sit in it!)
Real Kids Shades looks
On to how they look and fit. I must say these have been my favorite of all the sunglasses we have bought Ari. We bought several pairs when we went to Las Vegas to visit her Great Grandparents to protect her eyes from the sun and she HATED them. She continued to pull them off, throw them and try to pull them apart. We lost one pair almost immediately and the other pair she just refused to leave on. (They matched her daddy’s and were super cute) So when I got these I was a little skeptical that she would leave them on. The first pair are super cute, they are pink, with little Multi colored flowers on the rim around the lenses and have a nylon stretchy band that helps keep them on her head. They don’t have the normal “arms” that keep sunglasses on your head, just this stretchy band. I think it helped with making her keep them on because they didn’t feel as weird on her. The other pair have polarized lenses and have more of a sleek look and are all pink. Both pairs are super cute and she appears to like them both I will post a few pictures so you can see them on her.
If you want to help protect your child’s eyes from damaging sunlight (which that kind of damage doesn’t repair itself) But have a hard time getting your kid to leave the glasses on then these are the glasses for you! You can find their online store at Real Kids Shades Or you can follow them on Facebook or Twitter
They make it super easy to order from too. All the glasses are grouped by ages which makes it easy to figure out which size you need!
