Ozeri Turtle Thermometer

I love this turtle! I am one of those mom’s that is always worried about water being to hot, Ari sitting in water to long, being to close to the facet, etc. And this little floating turtle has eased some of those fears! When I first saw it I was skeptical, for one I didn’t think it was going to be effective, or it wouldn’t work etc.. So I tested the crap out of this thing! First we floated it in our pool. We already have a floating pool thermometer but I wanted to see how low the temperature would go, My pool was around 68.4 degrees and both thermometers confirmed that!

Then I decided before I would use it with Ari in her bath I would let it float by itself in her normal bath temperature, and see what it said. It turned blue!! I have been putting my baby in too cold of water in her baths! No wonder she doesn’t like them! I raised the temperature a little bit till the little turtle turned green and then felt the water myself, to me it felt a little warm, but Ian said it felt fine to him and I was just worrying to much. We put her in it and she went right for the glowing turtle! For those that don’t follow my blog very often, my daughter is 13 months old and thinks she is 5-6. She stood up with this little glowing turtle and threw him out of the water! I laughed so hard! I put him back and then she was ok with him being in the water with her. She played with him and her other water toys and seems to love it! I love the peace of mind knowing I’m not putting her in water that is to hot. She seems to like the warmer baths and sometimes I can’t get her out of them anymore!

She carry’s the little turtle around with her now when she is walking around the house.. I think after her initial temper tantrum about sharing her bath with him, she seems to like him now!
